Camping Summer '05

Thu., Oct 27 Dates: July 29th-31st (Friday-Sunday)

Location: Savoy Mountain State Forest Sites: 19,20,21, and 24

This years camping trip will be at Savoy mountain for the 3rd year running. Savoy is about 1 hour from Northampton, and 2.5 hours from Southern CT, so if some ambitious souls weren't around for the weekend, but wanted to join us for a day hike, or some splashing in the lake and boating that would be great too.

Savoy is small (less than 50 sites), quiet, and wooded. There is fresh water swimming (without leaches), and showers.

I was hoping to find a place with boat rentals, but all of those places were a little too white trash for me. :) Hopefully Sam or Janey or someone will bring a Kayak.

I've rented 3 sites for the weekend in question. If everyone could RSVP to let me know a *tentative* head count that would be great. If it turns out that a bunch of people show up, I'll grab another site.

I'll be sending out information about food, directions, etc. as the time gets closer, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up early enough that they could mark their calendars.
